I have a high school bud who has a ham, and I will eventually get one, as I think in an emergency, being a responder (firfighter/EMT as well as student of FEMA Emergency Management), Ham will bridge necessary gaps in communications. Radio ius radio, and if the major system goes down, a system that produces a radio wave, which will have no competition or regulation given a bad enough experience, will be the source of communications. Honestly though, I don’t see anything of national size occurring, but you never know,
