Renee and I both used to have RV’s in the past before we met and have very pleasant memories associated with them. Myself, a 16′ Kenskill trailer and Renee a 31′ 1975 Airstream. Renee lived in her’s in Florida and I traveled in the California Wine Country.
Renee moved in with someone and ended up selling it. Mine was in storage when the tire storage facility next door went up in flames taking out the storage yard too.
We were living in a rather nice apartment in Washington State in 2008 when we both got tired of paying rent and feeling like we own nothing. Neither of us wanted to go the home owner route again and both of us longed for traveling. On a lark we looked on Craigslist and just happened to find the RV we now have. It is a 31′ 1988 Coachmen Classic. Fell in love with it. Only drawback to it was being built before slideouts.
Bottom line, we live in it now. It feels like home and very comfortable to be in. Right now we live in the country with a full time creek behind us and frequently have deer surrounding our RV.
There are a few minuses to RV life. Six gallons of hot water make a quick shower. But we have a 3/4 size bathtub. The furnace sucks massive propane. Have to keep up with maintenance as the water pipe fittings inside are fragile.
