I am going through my stories archived on my computer and wanted to start with a few of mine. One, “A Perfect Moment In Time” is a short tell of when I ran away with the carnival for my vacation. BTW, it was one of my best vacations ever despite the hard work. While hard to describe fully, it did literally feel like time had slowed to a crawl.
Second, “A Look At Homelessness” was a story I wrote when I was writing for a newspaper. It is still valid today.
Lastly is the story of a civil servant in Chile during the Pinochet revolution of 1973. I was in high school at the time and really didn’t watch the news so while I interviewed this man, it dawned on me that while I was playing in the snow of Colorado, he was being tortured and beaten. This is the story of Martin Gamba, a cook. It was one of my first interviews so forgive the history story feel of it. But if you close your eyes you can feel the pain.
